- SIAMOSE, SIAMOISEA fabric made with silk and cotton named after a Siamese commissioner who brought the fabric to France during the reign of Louis XVI. (2) An all-silk fabric of unknown construction made in France at the end of the 17th century. (3) A mousseline made of cotton and silk, with the warp of singles or two-ply, three ends taped together and woven 4-shaft twill. (4) A low quality cotton cloth made in India to imitate the fabrics produced in Siam.
